Eating in a Gold Mine? - Wausau Mine Co.

Today I saw the trailer of the movie "The 33" and was suddenly inspired to look for a restaurant related to it. luckily, I found Wausau Mine Co located in Wisconsin.
Wausau is a family-friendly spot that is styled as a mine shaft, so diners feel they're deep in an adventure in the hearth of a gold mine. The customer would genuinely feel they're in a mine thanks to the real and authentic mining artifacts donated by a family when the restaurant was first founded.
There's something for everyone. In the upper deck of the restaurant there is a game room for kids. On the other hand, adults can enjoy a full bar, with big screen TV's, live music, and drink specials.

The food is always fresh and of great quality. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, they're also vegetarian friendly. I saw they have mouthwatering salads and fried dishes too. Is the best restaurant to please everyone. Ranging from their gluten free menu to their fry fish.

If you are one of those girls that dream of her knight in shining armor, I have the solution for you! it last only two hours though, but you get to eat with him and everything. And guys you can go watch the... swords and the fight. Meanwhile I will go for the food.
Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is a family theater dinner that features sword-fighting, jousting, and medieval games. This business is located in 9 different cities, including Orlando, Florida. The show is performed by a large cast, approximately 75 actors and more than 20 horses in the 9 different chains. It was founded 32 years ago and it's very famous. It has appeared on TV more than once.

There's a web page where you can buy tickets, get to know more about the show, watch videos, know more about the cast and even buy packages, or reserved for special events. Not everyday you get to eat in a castle and wear a crown.

Is recommended to arrive early to get good seats and see the area around the castle. Reviews suggest the food was vary tasty and service was prompt. Medieval Times offers a four-course meal along with an exciting two hour, live tournament show. there are various coupons and offers on the website. There are also choices for our vegetarians friends. Is a great place for a family dinner and a exhilarating new experience.

Eating in a Murderer Mystery Train?

Do you remember playing clue - the game where you had to find out who was the murderer? Well, imagine playing it live. Watching the possible murderers acting out in a train while you enjoy a delicious meal!
The Murder Mystery Train is located in Fort Myers, FL. Is a dinner theater attraction offering a five-course american meal and a comic mystery on a retro train ride.
Just like Clue, each diner would have a clue sheet where they would decide who's the murderer and each clue they find out. The sheets are collected before the murder act is acted out and a prize would be awarded to the each person who found out who was the murderer. Keep on mind that the acts are not the same so is worth to go more than once.
After seeing some of the reviews on this restaurant, I noticed that every person agreed on the food being delicious, even if they rated with three stars. So, I'll leave the link of their menu if you want to check it out.  https://semgulf.com/menu/

The train only opens on Wednesdays,Thursdays, Fridays, and Weekends. the price is $79.00 even thought can vary with season. Is recommendable to make a reservation before.

Eating Inside a Coffin - Eternity Restaurant

One day an Ukrainian undertaker, named Stephen Pyrianyk, decided to build a giant coffin and convert, such coffin, in a restaurant.

The coffin is 20 meters long, 6 meters wide, and 6 meters high. It has been recognized as the largest coffin in the world by the Guinness World Records. The coffin is made of pine. Inside, the coffin is decorated with dozens of normal-sized coffins and wreaths. Single candles light the tables which helps the restaurant with its mourning atmosphere.

The menu isn't left behind, customers can order dishes that coordinate with theme of the restaurant. Some of the dishes are named after local mourning rituals. The most popular dish is called "Let's meet in paradise."

The restaurant is located in the town of Truskavets, near the Polish border. Personally, I wouldn't like to have dinner here, not even out of curiosity. A part of me believes is kind of morbid and is not in my bucket list to have dinner or being in a coffin any time soon.

For Dog Lovers - Coolbaby Dog Restaurant

Coolbaby opened recently as a dog theme park in Beijing, China. It has a playground, a swimming pool, an obstacle courses, and also a restaurant specially designated for our most special friends.  Not only dogs can have meals together with their owners, but the recipes offered are based on nutritional science and divided for the different breeds, ages, and size of their clients.
There are two different chefs, one for the dogs which specializes in having the food stocked and makes sure that each breed and consideration of the dog is served the right food and portion. On the other hand, the food for us, the owners is pretty good but is mainly fast food like sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and so on. The kitchen is divided in two, one side is for the dog food and the other for the owners meal preparations. Dogs have the priority, the main idea of this restaurant is too focus on the dogs and so the owners don't really have the attention they may desired or will receive in a normal restaurant.
The reviews of this restaurant, despite being unusual, have been really helpful for the restaurant itself making them grow and expand to a bigger setting. It's a great way to espend time with your dog and not worrying of leaving them in the car or at home alone.

Eating in Prison? - Devil Island Prison

The restaurant located at China is decorated down to the las detail as if it was a real prison. it enjoys great realism thanks to its decoration that includes a large steel structure at its entrance as a prison, the inside doors and windows have steel bars, and metal floors. The waiters are dressed as inmates with black and white striped uniforms, while the security personnel are dressed as guards. Even the food is served on typical prison trays.
Initially this restaurant was created to scare and avoid people to get into a life of crime and show the harshness of being in prison. Upon entering the restaurant, customers become prisoners, they are photographed, fingerprinted, and optionally handcuffed. Don't expect a beautiful decorated table to dine in, after all you're still in prison so you will dine in a simple metal table. Food in the contrary, for decoration purposes, actually looks ice prison food but tastes absolutely amazing according to some customers reviews.
It definitely is a different experience, which personally I'm not very interested to experience because  I do enjoy homely settings to dine in. However, never say never, at least you will be eating with known inmates that you sully call friends. The restaurant is also a great way to incite a no-crime life.

From the wall decorations to the napkins you will feel in the 15th century with no other than Dracula. Dracula will rise from his coffin that's placed among the tables. He will walk around looking for a fresh neck to bite. And all that while you enjoy a delicious meal.
This restaurant is located at Bucharest, Romania. It's a hit for tourist, it has a wide variety of rooms, each one themed differently. There is the Transilvanian room, the hunting room, the cellar, the medial room among others. The price of meals are very reasonable. With meals from $7.50.
From the first step inside, you will be transported to an underworld of gothic splendour. The interior is decked out like a crypt, with heads on the walls. Dangling chains and even a dungeon accessed by a stone staircase and where customers eat in candlelight. The music is also part of the environment. It's mostly sounds the you expect from being in Dracula's castle. Dracula itselfs invite you to dinner and if you're old enough he will even have some drinks with you. Dinner is mostly a multi course meal starting with salad, moving on to a mani course and dessert.
Be prepared for a night full of laughs with a comical Dracula.

Cabbages & Condoms

Cabbages and Condoms is the name of a restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. The restaurant may be hard to find because is located in an alley and for that reason many people called it one of the hidden gems of Bangkok. The main theme of this restaurant? You guessed it, condoms! However it may no be what you think. The restaurant aims to educate the public about safe sex and promotes the health and safety aspects of condom use in a fun and amusing manner.
The founder of this restaurant is Senator Mechai Viravidiya. He opened the restaurant to spread of knowledge of contraception and to decrease HIV cases in Bangkok. The money customers pay goes to the CDA (Community Development Association) which also aims to educate citizens about safe sex. It was name Cabbages & Condoms because cabbages are one, if not the most common food in Thailand. The comparison thrives to make people realized that condoms should be as common as cabbages.
The decoration is very themed centered and picturesque. The first thing you may see when entering is life sized manikins with condoms decorating them as if it where clothes.

There are also lamps covered in condoms, articles about AIDS prevention, and instead of giving you regular restaurant mints with your bill you get condoms.

The restaurant has two seating areas, indoor and outdoor. The outdoor part or the garden is most known for its water fall down a wall. However, if you decide yo sit outdoor be aware of the mosquitos. Most of the time the waiters give bottles of insect repellent but you can also may ask for one. The indoor area is two floors, the second floor is a balcony over looking the garden. At night it gives a more romantic atmosphere because of the lights decorating it.
The C&C restaurant offers a pleasant dinning experience with excellent food. The menu is very varied with various appetizers, soups, tradition dishes for spicy lovers or non-exotic food lovers too. Even vegetarians are taked in consideration. The price is very moderate. Great food, great prices, great sense of humor and many many condoms, but just as the restaurant motto says "Our food is Guaranteed not to cause pregnancy.".

Eating in a Snow Castle?

The snow castle of Kemi is an hotel and restaurant completely made of snow. Located at the city of Kemi, Finland. This restaurant does not open up during summer, instead we can say is rebuild every year during winter only. The restaurant offers the same ammenuties as a regular restaurant, but at minus 5 degrees Celsius.
The restaurant is all snow! It has ice tables, seats covered with reindeer fur, ice sculptures, and  great light effects are also part of the charm and ice sculptures. Obviously great protection to keep you warm is needed. Thankfully, the restaurant has a shop near by where you can buy all types of coats. Menu includes local fish like salmon and perch served with vegetables, a wide variety of soups, and their famous lamb. Reservations in advance are obligatory.
This magnificent snow restaurant that includes a delicious 3-course dinner in a truly extraordinary environment with its own ice bar is something you have to experience to believe.

Disaster Café - Eating in the Middle of an Earthquake?

Disaster café is located at Lloret de Mar, Spain. Lloret de Mar is known for its constant earthquakes  and this influenced the restaurant's theme.
First, a reservation in advance is highly suggested because the place is beyond popular. Tourist and everyday visitors love to go there for the quality of the food and the adrenaline rush. While arriving, the first noticeable aspect is that the entrance is pretty ordinary and many people have gotten discourage by this. However, at the entrance an alien themed restaurant decorated as an spaceship for children is fist seen. This is only used on weekends and children under 14 can stay there while their parents enjoy the depths of this restaurant. The elevator will take you to "The Depths of Earth". Staff wearing construction helmets and safety equipment appear outside the elevator and guide you towards the tables. In simple terms, you will feel inside a cave. After the food is ordered, it will arrive in heavy dishes. Suddenly, at one point of the meal a 7.8 earthquake will hit the cave.
Disaster café is a simulated 7.8 earthquake restaurant. How many earthquakes will occur during your meal and precisely at what time is unknown, the idea is to keep the customer expectant. Spilled drinks and food are common but all precautions are taken (that's why the heavy dishes). If you are looking for a place with great food and an adrenaline rush this is the perfect place. Is definitely worth a visit to experience what the people of Lloret de Mar, Spain constantly go through but as a real disaster from nature.

Ninja New York - Eating With Ninjas?

Ninja New York, located at 25 Hudson Street on New York City, is a subterranean restaurant set as an old fashioned Japanese village full of dark corners and tricky passageways.
There are individual rooms laid out in a complex maze setup throughout the whole restaurant. The idea is that the customers can experience the world in which the ninja lived. Customers are greeted by servers in while costumes that regularly Yelp and perform martial art tricks, even while swing the food. Is a restaurant full of culture and martial arts.
The restaurant is made to go with the whole family or a simple date, it's an all around entrainment kind of experience, where a magic show also takes place. The restaurant offers three different menus, including a vegetarian menu. Is important to reserve before time because the place is usually packed up and no one wants to wait to be seated. A downside for this restaurant is the price ($50 per plate) but some argue the experience is worth it.

Kinderkookkafe: The Restaurant Run By Kids.

Imagine being in a restaurant where the waiter, the chef, barista, cashier and dishwasher is a kid, ranging from age 5 to 12. Kinderkookkafe is a restaurant run entirely by children with the help of two grown-ups. The restaurant was first created as a day care, it later on progressed as a cooking school for kids after the owners realized kids enjoy cooking and it was an affective way of distracting the children.

Kinderkookkafe is located in Amsterdam. It has a simple menu that includes a main dish and dessert. The menu includes sandwiches, milkshakes, cookies, cakes, pies and pancakes. The kitchen, including ingredients, tools and instructions are all at the children's eyesight level. The children's also wash up, serve soft drink behind the bar, and write checks. The goal is to teach kids how to be responsible in a enjoyable environment, and start setting up passions and hobbies from an early age.

Some people have argue that the place should be close because is child labor, but let's not forget
that  the cafe is also a day care. The parents leave their kinds and when they come back to pick them up, they usually sit down with their childrens to eat what they created. In other words,  the restaurant is also an opportunity to spend quality time as a family.
This restaurant is great for those who have younger siblings!

This is done to make people loose the sense of time. Then, the customers enter a world of darkness. They are guided by waitress through the whole dining process.

Customers are unaware of where they seat, with whom, and what they are eating. The goal of the restaurant is to make customers experience all the other senses, such as taste, touch, smell, and hearing. More than a restaurant is a human feeling experience. The menu at Dans Le Noir is a surprise and until the end of the experience, the customer will know what it ate. This restaurant is an invitation to stimulate your taste buds and revive your senses in total darkness with subtle, creative cuisine that uses only fresh products. It's a game to awaken your senses to help you appreciate original dishes, textures and delightful forms. Prices vary from $40 to $70 dollars.
